The Eagle Creek Chocolate House is a recently completed Custom Home with Chocolate wall Paint which located in Eagle Creek, Oregon, that is slated for LEED for Homes Platinum (certification is currently pending). The house acknowledged its name in honor of the homeowner’s love of dark chocolate and passion for sustainable living. The New-century custom home designed by Paolo Group Designer take on a clean-line Tuscan style adapted to Northwest living. In keeping with LEED standards, it features sustainable elements including passive solar orientation, ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, a Faswall ICF envelope, and radiant heated floors. A therapeutic endless pool that acts as a heat sink is seen from the great room. A masonry heater provides additional heat source as well as baking oven perfect for making homemade bread and pizza. The exterior pergola and interior great room ceiling are milled onsite from “Big Bob,” an existing tree removed during construction to make way for the new house. -via-
