Southern Ocean Lodge Architecture Design was design with wide window walls capturing the beautiful views of the wild Southern Ocean and pristine bush and the architect designer This Luxury Lodge is Max Pritchard Architect. A strong sculptural element is the two hundred meter long wall of Kangaroo Island Limestone weaving from a covered entrance, through the mainly safe and sound bush and into the Main Lodge. Twenty one guest suites cascade down the slope from the Main Lodge, with access from a Breezeway ramp, it provides a textured backdrop to the finely detailed guest areas with recesses accommodating desks, seating and reception. The guest suites from this Luxury Lodge are constructed of light weight materials that could be carried in, minimizing site disturbance. Foundations are steel screw piles, framing is timber, cladding is iron and fiber cement, and flooring is recycled timber and stone.
